Account Executive- New Business Development (Fresno)

  • Job Summary:
    The Account Executive will be responsible for developing new business, as well as defining goals, researching, analyzing and capitalizing on market/new business opportunities. They will use their talent to see things in a different light, be a visionary for clients with ideas that can be translated into action. The Account Executive will also initiate and manage effective relationships with developed leads on a continuous basis. This effort will include gathering background information on the client’s products, current customers, prospective customers, and the geographic area of their target market in order to create a meaningful sales proposal. The Account Executive will be expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality work.

    In addition to maintaining sales and overseeing clients’ accounts, the Account Executive’s other duties include developing and maintaining prospect database, analyzing sales statistics and audience demographics, and preparing new business activity reports for agency CEO. The Account Executive will stay current with new and existing products/services and monitor the sales, prices, and products of their competitors.

    The Account Executive will also be responsible for providing sound communication and marketing ideas for agency promotional needs as well as participating in industry events that help promote the agency.

    Position requires travel to client sites and industry events throughout California and out-of-state as needed.
    The Account Executive reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

    Key Skills:  Self-starter  Goal-oriented  Demonstrated passion for marketing and helping clients develop their brands and business  Ability to develop and maintain client relationships  Ability to communicate effectively in a clear, concise and persuasive manner to work collaboratively on RFP’s, meetings, presentations, etc.  Ability to make independent decisions involving discretion and sound business judgment  Full understanding of, and ability to use, all agency creative resources  Understanding of digital media including social media  Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines  Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a small team  Pleasant personality and neat professional appearance

    Experience and Qualifications:  Proven sales skills in Design/Marketing sector, minimum three years previous experience  Degree in Marketing or similar (preferred)
