In-home tutoring company seeks algebra tutor for a 9th grade Honors Algebra 1 student.

Position Summary:

Support the student in her algebra class by assisting with homework, prepping for tests and deepening her understanding of algebraic concepts.

Essential Functions:

• Help with algebra assignments.
• Prepare student for tests.
• Create individualized tutoring plan based on student’s learning style.
• Provide feedback for parents.
• Work with student to improve his or her grades.

Required Competencies:

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to be flexible
• Proven motivational techniques
• Willingness to collaborate with parents and teachers as needed

Minimum Work Experience Required:

• At least one year of teaching experience.

Minimum Education Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
