The Consultant designs and implements technologies for multiple client assignments. In addition, to technical consulting the consultant must have an aptitude and understanding of project management, pre-sales and support functions. Consultants demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain professional relationship with their customer base in a multi-vendor environment. Consultants are recognized for their ability to quickly assess, identify and recommend improvements and/or opportunities that are consistent with client needs including projects, additional improvements and/or opportunities. Consultants maintain accurate and thorough documentation. Consultants work both on-site and remote at client locations performing IT/Network planning, design, implementation, operations and optimization services provided by the terms of the agreement/contract. Consultants also provide high quality client assistance and deliverables across a diverse set of IT environments.
Technologies: (minimum requirement of 2 or more)
• Lotus Notes to Exchange Migration Experience
• Strong experience in Exchange at Architect level
• Experience designing Active Directory
• Microsoft SMS, MOM Experience
• MCSE and MCSA
• Enterprise Email Migrations and Consolidation
• Experience Designing Exchange 2003/2007/2010
• Experience with Back Office systems
• Strong Client consulting experience
• Must have strong design and architect experiencePrimary Responsibilities:
• The Intermediate Consultant is responsible for supporting multiple phases of the project lifecycle
• Assists with the detailed design and build out of the architecture components using a structured methodology
• Assist other team members for directing the creation, execution and documentation of tests to ensure that the architecture and infrastructure meets user and technical requirements
• Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization
• Assists in planning and supporting a PM to oversee the project
• Deliver information effectively to clients to Management, Project Management and clients through documentation and presentations
• Build and maintains client relationships
• Support project management methodology
• Work closely with Architect and Senior Consultants to evaluate research and recommend appropriate Solutions
• Communicate status of projects to associated Project Managers on a regular basis
• Enhances network engineering staff accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes
• Understands network security and works to establish and enforce policies and procedures
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizationsSkills/Qualifications: (minimum requirement of 3 or more)
• Extensive Troubleshooting skills
• Minimum 1 year Direct client support required
• Minimum 3 years I.T. experience or in system IT administration
• Professional working knowledge of networking technologies and protocols
• Experience with current/leading Messaging and Directory Service Technologies
• Certifications preferred: (1 or more of the following: MCSE, MCSA, Lotus Notes)
• 4-year college degree preferred or equivalent on-the-job experience
• Good communication/people skills
• Technical sales or pre-sales experience a plus
• MS Windows NT 4.0,Windows 2003 and 2008 Server and Workstation
• TCP/IP (routers, configuration and setup) knowledge
• Security (firewalls/proxy — Cisco, 3Com, Zywall, Sonic Wall, Watchguard) knowledge
• Virus Protection Software (e-mail, server and client) knowledge
• Network management (switches, hubs, fiber-optic, cabling, packet sniffing) Knowledge
• BS/BE or equivalent experience and training required
• MCSE and/or MCSA certification preferred
• Network Trouble shooting experience required
• Knowledge of Network Design and Implementation
• Network Hardware, Configuration, Design and Optimization required
• Network Performance tuning required
