Position Purpose:
Maintain the integrity of all databases.

Knowledge/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software development or related field. 3-5 years of experience with relational databases, specifically Oracle 10g and SQL Server 2008. Healthcare benefits management experience a plus.

Licenses/Certifications: ITIL Certificate or obtain within 18 months of hire

Position Responsibilities:

• Oversee all facets of relational database backup and recovery including writing OS level scripts, SQL and PL/SQL scripts, packages, and functions.
• Implement data models, data designs, data access, and data maintenance as a member of the Information Technology/Service team.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring database integrity and security.
• Assist Information Technology/Service team with relational database management systems (RDBMS) and associated packages including the coordination of database tuning of SQL statements with the application developers.
• Install patches and upgrades for all database software at US Script and its subsidiaries.
• Ensure the network link to the standby pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) database is functioning and all logs have been applied.
• Research, develop and resolve errors or issues in the PBM database.
