    Job Description: Under general supervision is accountable to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County Unit Director. The Education Program Director is primarily responsible for Youth Development and academic success, by enhancing the Power Hour after-school tutoring program. The Education Program Director is a Youth Development Professional who is responsible for planning, assisting, and supervising activities for youth ages 6-12 in the Library. The Education Program Director serves as a role model and provides Guidance to Club members.

    Examples of Duties:
    • Provide direct assistance with Power Hour (after-school) tutoring.
    • Co-Facilitate and implement Boys & Girls Club reading/education program.
    • Maintain Club hours of operations
    • Establish regular work schedule for the program schedule
    • Instruct and implement youth program curriculum provided by Boys & Girls Club for youth development.
    • Provide direct supervision and guidance to youth ages 6-12 in the Library.
    • Establish a program setting that ensures the health and safety of members
    • Contribute to the overall Club climate for youth development
    • Input daily attendance & keep records of youth participation in all programs and services for administrative and grant reports.
    • Manage assigned supplies and equipment
    • Assist with clean up and maintenance of assigned facilities
    • Assist in promoting and marketing programs to Club members, parents, school personnel and community
    • Work in partnership with community-based service providers
    • Attend staff meeting and Boys & Girls Club trainings
    • Other duties as assigned

    Desirable Qualifications: Experience in providing guidance and encouragement to youth between the ages of 6-12, and in promoting academic success through educational activities to children. Applicant must have knowledge of a wide variety of educational activities, competitive and non-competitive educational games. Applicant must have ability to create on the spot educational fun for Club Members. High school diploma. First Aid/CPR certification required. Class B license may be required.

    Hours: 3:00 PM–7:00 PM Monday–Thursday & 3:00 PM–6:00 PM Friday
    Salary: $8.00 Per Hour 19 – Hours Per Week
