Human Resources Recruiter – Top 50 Global Manufacturer (Fresno)

  • The successful candidate will have the potential to grow into either a broader HR generalist role or a broader regional or national recruitment role within 12 to 18 months. The successful candidate will initially and/or over time have the following responsibilities:

    • Initiate, develop and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers, HR business partners and external clients to yield successful recruiting results and to stay abreast of current and future hiring needs.
    • Manage complete life-cycle recruitment process including but not limited to screening candidates, utilizing behavior-based interview techniques, preparing offer letters, conducting background checks, managing relocation process, negotiating, closing, and on-boarding new hires.
    • Negotiate and maintain annual contracts with recruiters and online job boards, and explore new methods of recruiting top talent.
    • Lead the creation of recruiting and interviewing strategies for all open positions.
    • Work with company leadership to develop position descriptions that accurately reflect job responsibilities and business needs.
    • Build and maintain a network of potential candidates and identify talent through established and new channels; leverage personal networks, events, job boards and social media, etc. to develop pipelines of talent.
    • Recommend ideas and strategies that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing and fine-tuning standard processes for recruiting and HR that are in line with company’s core values to deliver the highest quality results.
    • Conduct regular follow-ups with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
    • Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring manager interactions and other recruiting activities.
    • Guide site leadership team through a compliant recruiting and hiring process (EEO legislations and other government compliance regulations and company standards).
    • Maintain proper records utilizing company’s applicant tracking system for online recruitment, train new users of the system, and create and distribute weekly and monthly activity reports as it relates to recruitment.

    The ideal candidate will possess the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
    • 4 — 5 years of recruitment experience in an in-house human resources department, preferably for a major manufacturing or distribution company.
    • Broad knowledge of all aspects of human resources administration to include benefits administration, employee relations, professional development, etc.
    • Comprehensive understanding of California employment laws and HR best practices.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of government regulations.
    • Project management experience to streamline and document recruiting processes.
    • Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence others via strong relationships and analytical skills.
    • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Experience developing and leading training programs in the areas of recruitment and recruitment related activities.
    • Detail-oriented, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills.
    • Experience building relationships with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization.

    • Location: Fresno
    • Compensation: 55,000-75,000 Base + Bonus + Benefits + 401K (7% Match of 100%)
