Information Technology Manager (Redding, CA)

  • We are searching for a hands-on Information Technology Manager to join our growing team near Redding, California. The IT Manager is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all information systems and information technology functions. The ideal candidate will use strong interpersonal skills to work with senior staff to assess business needs in order to implement solutions, and must possess hands-on Syteline 7 experience supporting a global manufacturing environment.

    Job Duties:
    • Analyze needs of functional departments and establish priorities for systems design and implementation to develop and/or modify information systems.
    • Assists in the planning, implementation, and management of additions, deletions, and major modifications to the supporting global IT infrastructure.
    • Manage business continuity and recovery of company’s information systems.
    • Establish operational objectives and work plans, as well as budgets, schedules, and performance requirements.
    • Primary programmer for Syteline modifications.
    • Development and management of IT support staff.
    • Manage and implements network security.
    • Manage relationships with outside vendors to maximize effectiveness and minimize cost.
    • Consults with users, managers, and vendors to determine computing needs and system requirements.
    • Oversees troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary.
    • Manages and develops upgrades to the company’s telephone system.
    • Some travel required.

    Desired Skills & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, or related field.
    • 5-7 years of relevant work experience within a manufacturing environment.
    • ERP/MRP system management — Syteline 7 database experience is required.
    • Experience with SQL and .NET.
    • Demonstrated success supporting network infrastructure; Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft Office, Outlook experience.
    • Strong project management and organization skills.
    • Demonstrated technical competence and business acumen.
    • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, strong listening skills, ability to communicate clearly with all levels within an organization.
    • Ability to train and present information in group and one-on-one settings.
    • Knowledge and experience optimizing manufacturing business processes through systems.
    • Track record of successful delivery of IT projects on-time and on-budget.
    • Familiarity with MRP, Production Planning and Shop Floor Processes; APICS certification desirable.
