PROCEL Temporary Services, a leading healthcare staffing firm in the West Coast has several local contract openings for MONITOR TECHNICIANS. The assignment is 40 hrs a week. Applicants must have more than 1 year of hospital experience, Basic and Advance Dysrythmia experience, Current BLS and high school diploma or Monitor tech certificate, Formal EKG and Arrythmia class with a minimum of 20 hrs with certificate.
Must also have current PPD result, Annual physical exam result and MMR Vaccination or titers.

Job Description:
- Directly accountable to the patient care team and unit manager, indirectly accountable to the service director.
- Under General Supervision or an RN or LVN in charge of monitoring Cardiac Rhythm of all patients and performing 12 lead EKGs
- Knowledge regarding normal / abnormal respiratory monitoring values.
- Demonstrates correct operation of central respiratory monitoring equipment, central / telemetry cardiac monitoring equipment.
- Succesful completion of a course acceptable by the employer in EKG interpretation.
- Succesful completion of of arrythmia updates within the last 2 years.
