Outside Sales Account Manager (Fowler)

  • Van-G logistics offers its customers transloading including truck to rail and rail to truck service, dry and cold storage, and short haul trucking. Van-G Logistics is seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager to assist in new and existing account development with both existing and new business models.

    Job Responsibilities:
    * Plans how to establish and maintain major account relationships within the full line of services
    * Develops business plan for each account
    * Coordinates use of other company resources to demonstrate value added services to accounts
    * Develops strong client relationships over time
    * Supports company President in developing new market opportunities
    * Solicits new business opportunities within territory
    * Provides analysis and information on sales forecast, budget preparation, and account sales history
    * Coordinates customer needs with operational unit managers to ensure customer satisfaction

    Required Skills/Experience:
    * Innovative problem solver; recognizing customer needs, providing alternatives and selling and implementing alternative solutions
    * Strong presentation skills
    * Ability to effectively manage a sales territory and the selling process
    * Experience in sales required commensurate to demonstrate required skills
    * Transportation, logistics, manufacturing sales experience a plus
