Client is searching for multiple PHP Engineers to join their growing Platform and Games teams in San Francisco. The company was funded by Lightspeed Ventures and Trinity VC and is already wildly profitable. Their most recent game ‘Battle Pirates’ is the first real-time strategy game on the Facebook platform, and their games have millions of daily players, and continue to grow. You and LAMP are old friends. The features you design and develop will be critical to superior gaming experiences our players have come to expect. You are a quick thinker with solid experience designing, building and growing high-volume web applications.

What you get to do every day:
- Lead feature development for both client and server side specifications from concept through deployment
- Collaborate with team members to produce high quality code as we continue to scale our millions of daily users
- Integration of social and mobile APIs and SDK’s using social game features (ie: ratings, reviews, fan page, stream posts, events)
- Help to improve overall database performance, like big data?
- Investigate and create new tools to defend our platform

What you bring to the role:
- B.S. in Computer Science and hands-on experience doing software development in a commercial software development environment
- A minimum of 3 years with PHP5 web development in a high volume environment
- Additional expertise with one or more of the following languages: Python, Java, C++, HTML5, Javascript
- Development of web applications using one or more of the following: Linux, Apache, MySQL
- Working knowledge of front-end technologies
- An ability to interact and communicate effectively with others in your team
- Able to meet deliverables and drive your work to completion within specified timelines
- Great communication skills
- Knowledge and passion for interactive entertainment and games is preferred
